A 4-stage route to explore and find your bearings
The Vitrines des métiers du nucléaire are designed to be accessible to all, directly in high schools or at events. Here's how they work:
- Understand the industry : Discover the key role of nuclear power in Normandy, its energy challenges and local impact.
- Explore the professions : Dive into portraits of professionals, their working environments and the skills in demand, with a focus on safety culture.
- Find your training: Identify the courses suited to your profile, from initial training courses to specialized technical platforms.
- Be inspired and take action: Meet inspirational figures, access resources and contacts to make your career plans a reality.
This pathway encourages reflection on possible courses, from an overall discovery of the industry to a more personal reflection on one's career plan.
A wide variety of little-known professions!
The Vitrines highlight diversified professions, linked to specialties specific to the nuclear field:
- Facility maintenance and piloting (Lycée Alexis de Tocqueville, Cherbourg)
- Mechanics and assembly (Lycée Paul Cornu, Lisieux)
- Digital and cybersecurity (Lycée Charles Tellier, Condé-en-Normandie)
- Building and civil engineering (Lycée Le Corbusier, Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray)
- Electrical engineering and automation (Lycée Pablo Neruda, Dieppe)
This thematic approach shows that the nuclear industry mobilizes a wide range of professions and skills, far beyond preconceived ideas, and that it offers outlets for a wide variety of profiles.
